Making Excommunication - by Tim Waite, 2013
During this four-week course we will learn the basics of image compositing, or combining two or more photos into one finished work of art.
No experience required! This course is for anyone with zero or limited experience with Photoshop, and is a slow-paced exploration of one of Photoshop's powerful features!
In the first class you will be introduced to the concept of composite images, and we'll brainstorm, as a group, to get you started on some ideas for creating and selecting your base images, which you'll use to build your final artwork.
During the second class, we'll review the images you photographed, scanned, or otherwise wrangled into some digital format, and we'll work-out some basic idea of how to proceed.
In the final two classes, we'll explore masking and layering concepts, as well as some filtering options, to construct your vision!
Photoshop and Lightroom are available, together, in the Creative Cloud Photographer plan at creative.adobe.com/plans/photography
You MUST have Adobe Photoshop CC. Adobe Photoshop Lightroom is optional.
You must have a laptop with Lightroom and/or Photoshop installed and running. A desktop with the software installed is acceptable, but you'll need to be able to bring it for each of the last two classes.
All power and peripheral cables necessary to operate your computer should be brought to the last two classes, along with your laptop/desktop.
