One of the most important things for any digital photographer is how to manage and organize hundreds of photos.
Just as important is to understand how to edit or process those photos, to create more compelling images that tell your story the way you want it told.
During this course we will begin with Lightroom, learning how to configure a catalog, import photos, organize those photos, and then how to edit them. Each week we'll work on some new features of Lightroom and put them to use, building a solid understanding of its capabilities.
As we get more comfortable editing photos in Lightroom, we'll introduce Photoshop to the mix, bringing photos from Lightroom into Photoshop for some more advanced editing techniques that aren't possible using Lightroom alone.
Upon completion of this course you should be comfortable with importing and exporting your photos using Lightroom, and editing your photos using both Lightroom and Photoshop.
This course covers the same content as the Lightroom Workshops, in addition to many of the Beginning Photoshop Course concepts.
A computer with the Adobe Creative Cloud installed.
We recommend the Adobe Creative Cloud Photography plan, which includes Lightroom and Photoshop for $9.99/month.
Please have purchased your subscription prior to the first class, and, if possible, download the Creative Cloud application (you will be given instructions upon the purchase of the plan you select), and install Lightroom and Photoshop. If you need help with the software installation please contact us ahead of time, so that we can meet with you before class to help you get everything prepped for class.
